3 Players of Note:
1) Andrey Makarov G Saskatoon - A nice find by Saskatoon plucking this kid out from Lewiston. Very composed in the net, doesn't get rattled easily. An undrafted 19 yr old that I'm sure scouts are keeping their eyes on. He has nice laterel movement and very square to the shooters. Really does well to battle for crease position and doesn't get pushed around. Solid showing from him tonight and all year.
2) Matej Stransky RW Saskatoon - A solidly built, push the pace type winger. He really puts the pressure on a defense though his skating and vision. Very confident with the puck and didn't shy away from the contact. A solid player for a team that likes to attack from the wings. Quick release. A full array of offensive skills.
3) Darren Dietz D Saskatoon - Scored a goal on a puck scramble. Showed good poise to gets pucks into good shooting postions. Plays positionally sound and gets into shooting lanes. He's one of many effective defenders on the Blades hockey team. Siemens, Cox and Thrower all had strong defensive games.
